Return to TOC Previous: Clothing Cooking Cook the family meals. Well obviously you are going to have to do this, but do some planning. Go buy yourself a cookbook if you don’t have one already. It is fun to go through the cookbook to pick out meals that will be easy to make and the kids will like. It is a family activity. While you are planning your meals, you will also be able to prepare your shopping list. A method I found that worked well was to pick out 20 things that we would both like (although to varying degrees.) I wrote the item description, shopping list for the menu item and the page number in the cookbook so I could refer back easily to figure out how to prepare the stuff. We would take the 20 index cards, chuck them into the air, pick them up and put them in a pile. Guess what we ate for the next 20 dinners! Next: Doctor and Dentist Appointments |
